Lady Bulldogs Lose in Duel With Cavaliers

Milbank traveled to Aberdeen on Tuesday, January 5, and suffered a 13-50 loss at the hands of the Roncalli Cavaliers. “There’s not much to say about this game,” said Pauli. “We just need to get back to work and try to keep improving.”
Milbank fell behind early at 15-4. Roncalli opened up the game at 34-6 at the midway mark. The Lady Bulldogs remained behind at 45-8 heading into the final quarter.
Street led Milbank with six points and four rebounds. Tyra Berry followed with three points, one board, and one steal. Tatum Berry and Neugebauer had two points and two rebounds each. Rounding out the team totals were Thue, two rebounds and one assist; Mertens, two rebounds and one assist; Anderson, two rebounds, one assist, and two steals; and Jenna Dexter, one rebound.
Milbank made just 18 percent of their shots, hitting 6-of-33 from the field. The Lady Bulldogs ended the game with 20 rebounds, six steals, and three assists. They committed 18 turnovers.
Roncalli hit 22-of-41 from the field for a hot 54 percent shooting. The Cavaliers finished with 30 rebounds, 17 steals, and 13 assists. They committed just eight turnovers.
