Six Milbank wrestlers rated a top-four finish at the River City Rumble Invitational in Chamberlain on Saturday, January 23. Brayden Christensen, Barrett Schneck, Leyton Raffety, and Toby Schneck all reached the championship match and finished second in their respective weight classes. Kaden Krause earned third place; Logan Meyer took fourth. The Bulldogs also took fourth place as a team.

Mitchell was named the tournament champion with 252. Chamberlain was second with 168. Huron placed third with 130. Milbank finished fourth with 95 points. Rounding out the team totals were: Sioux Falls O’Gorman, 78; Yankton, 66; Belle Fourche, 57; Douglas, 35; Cheyenne-Eagle Butte/Dupree, 16.

“The guys battled and won some matches important for region seeding,” stated the Bulldogs’ head coach, Jeremy Tostenson. The state wrestling tournament is scheduled for February 25-27 in Rapid City. Tickets are on sale now.
