According to Brenda Anderson, principal at St. Lawrence School, the theme for 2021 Catholic Schools Week is a Rainforest Excursion. The week takes off on Saturday, January 30, at 5 p.m. Mass. Kindergarten students through sixth graders need to wear their blues and khakis and meet in the gym at 4:40 p.m. They will attend as a class.
After Mass, everyone is invited to a free will meal of bbq’s, hotdogs, chips, and a bar. Bingo follows at 7 p.m. Win one of 10 games!

Monday, February 1: Get It! Farmer or Gardener Day. Which Soil Are You? (Parable of the Sower)
Tuesday, February 2: Get Found! Camouflage Day. Baa, Baa, Lost Sheep (Parable of the Lost Sheep)
Soup Day – 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Parish and community members are invite to join us for a bowl of soup!
Wednesday, February 3: Get God’s Love! Hat, Sunglasses, Rainforest Excursion Day. An Unlikely Neighbor (Parable of the Good Samaritan)
Thursday, February 4: Get Praying! Spirit Day-Wear your blues and khakis. The Midnight Knocker (Parable of the Friend at Midnight) 8:30 a.m. Celebrate All-School Mass with Bishop DeGrood.
Friday, February 5: Get Going! PJ Day—bring PJs to change into after Mass. Use It or Lose It (Parable of the Talents)8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Mass – 6th graders will be in charge of the liturgical duties.
9:30 a.m. – 9:45 a.m. – 5th Grade Band Concert in the gym.
12:20 p.m. – 2 p.m. Movie. Remember to bring a drink, snack, and something to lie down on in the gym.2:20 p.m. – 2:50 p.m. Catholic Schools Week songs and actions.
