The Lady Bulldogs’ gymnastics team ended their regular season with the second highest team score of the season at the Deuel Invitational on Saturday, January... Gymnasts Soar to Second Highest Team Score of Season

The Lady Bulldogs’ gymnastics team ended their regular season with the second highest team score of the season at the Deuel Invitational on Saturday, January 30. Milbank tallied 132.050 points.

“We may not have the school record (yet) but this team can boast four of the top six team scores in school history,” said Amber Fraasch, Milbank’s head coach.  “It shows how much talent this group of gymnasts brings to the gym each day.”

Aubrey Fraasch nailed her floor routine and led the team with a sixth-place finish by earning a score of 8.90.  Fraasch and Hannah Brown each had personal best scores and their second state-qualifying score on vault. Greta Snaza and Brown tied for eighth place on vault. They both scored 9.00.
In the third rotation, Milbank competed on bars. They were led by Aubrey Fraasch in 10th place. Dani Yamaura led the Lady Bulldogs with a no-fall beam routine. Her score of 8.90 was good for fifth place. Snaza and A. Fraasch also performed no-fall routines. Yamaura placed seventh in the all-around competition at 33.75.  Brown had a personal best all-around score of 31.550.

The team competes on Thursday, February 4, at the combined Region 1A and NEC meet at Deuel. “This year, rankings determine where we compete and what pod we are placed in at the region and state meets,”Fraasch said.
“We currently have three gymnasts prequalified for the state meet —Greta Snaza, Dani Yamaura, and Aubrey Fraasch. Our goal is to also add events to their list and to qualify the rest of the team individually. The girls have been working hard all season, and we hope to be at peak performance in the next two meets.”
