The Lady Bulldogs struggled in the second half of their Northeast Conference matchup against the Redfield Pheasants on Friday, January 29, on the road. Milbank was defeated 46-27 and watched their season record fall to 3-11.

“We battled through the first half, but could not score in the second,” stated Milbank’s head coach, Brian Pauli. Milbank fell behind at 15-11 after one quarter of play and remained behind at 17-21 at halftime. Redfield came out hot and fired in 21 points in the third quarter to widen the gap to 27-42 heading into the final stanza. Milbank was held scoreless in the fourth quarter and took the loss at 46-27.

Maurina Street led Milbank with 12 points, eight rebounds, and two steals. Isabella Anderson followed with six points, four boards, and one steal. 
Tatum Berry added four points and two rebounds.  Lindsey Mertens added three points, three rebounds, and one steal. Madi Thue made two points, four rebounds, and an assist. Tyra Berry contributed two rebounds and one steal. Claire Snaza had one rebound and one assist, and Ellie Neugebauer pulled down one rebound.

Milbank hit 11-of 55 from the field for just 20 percent shooting. The Lady Bulldogs were 0-of-8 from three-point land. They ended the game with 40 rebounds, two assists, 14 steals, and 14 turnovers.

Redfield made 28 percent of their shots from the field, connecting on 14-of-51 attempts. The Lady Pheasants grabbed 52 rebounds and had five assists and 14 steals. They committed 15 turnovers.
