Step Outside this weekend and keep going until you reach the lake. Take your family to the Big Stone Lake – Step Outside – Family Ice Fishing event this Sunday, February 28. The free event, which is a cooperative effort between South Dakota Game, Fish, and Parks and Schmidt’s Landing, starts at 2 p.m. at Schmidt’s Landing.
Check out fishing in an Ice Castle and fishing from a portable icehouse. Learn to design your own fishing tackle and how to clean and cook your fish. Fishing equipment will be provided for those who don’t have any. COVID-19 Guidelines will be in place during the event. Just don’t forget to bundle up for the weather!
