Three Milbank Bulldog wrestlers take to the mats in the third and final day of the 2021 South Dakota State Class A Wrestling Tournament today, February 27. The action begins at 10 a.m. MT. 

On Friday, Brayden Christensen, Barrett Schneck, and Toby Schneck all earned places on the award podium, but their final places will be determined during matches today.

In the first round of wrestle backs on Friday, Christensen won by fall against Nick Roob of Vermillion in a time of 2:51. He then downed Carson Hansmann of Watertown in the second-round wrestle backs by a score of 5-3. Christensen competes in the third-round wrestle backs today.

B. Schneck fell by 18-4 major decision to the No. 1-seeded Logan Serck of Beresford/Alcester/Hudson in quarterfinal action. He then went to the second round of wrestle backs where he defeated Harrison Good of Sturgis in a 11-2 major decision. He wrestles in the third-round wrestle backs today.

T. Schneck edged out Brock Eitreim of Watertown in the quarterfinals with a score of 6-5. He then suffered a 5-4 loss to No. 2-seeded Ryan Brink of Rapid City Stevens in the semi-finals. Toby wrestles today in the fourth round.

Jacob Johnson, Kaden Krause, and Leyton Raffety were eliminated from the tournament on Friday. Johnson lost by an 11-3 major decision to Jude Jarding of West Central in the first round wrestle backs. Krause also fell in the first round  to Brandon Otte of Lennox with a score of 8-5.  Raffety secured a 3-0 victory over Riley Kearin of Madison in the first round of wrestle back action. He then lost by fall to Samuel Calvert of Aberdeen Central in a time of 4:39 to end his season.
