Milbank youth wrestlers who placed in the top eight in their divisions in the South Dakota Wrestling Coaches Association District 7 Tournament earned their way to the regional tournament. The district tournament was held in Webster on Saturday, March 6.

Wrestlers who led the way for Milbank with first-place finishes included: Cruz Prasnicki (Bantam 50), Brady Ericsson (Bantam 61), Isaac Folk (Bantam 76), Hunter Johnson (Bantam 91), Liam Prasnicki (Midgets 59), Lawson Novy (Novice HWT), Andrew Folk (Schoolboy 80), Joe French (Schoolboy 140), Jesse Schneck (Schoolboy 150), Oliver Korth (Schoolboy HWT), and Kyra Tostenson (girls B, grades 3-5, HWT).

Runners-up in the tournament were:  Drake Wellnitz (Bantam 70), Riley Krause (Midgets 56), Jax Jonason (Midgets 63), Ryder Gapp (Midgets 67), Tayson Tillma (Novice 64), Kyle Schneck (Novice 87), Keaton Johnson (Novice 100), Lane Johnson (Novice 150), Micah Tostenson (Schoolboy 150), Hunter Reede (Schoolboy 180), and Lydiah Novy (girls A, grades prek-2, HWT).

Evan Folk (Novice 82) and Owen Fischer (Schoolboy 85) placed third. Fourth-place winners were Blaze Fahleen (Midgets 63) and Jaden Winges (Novice 72).  Kasen Thibeault (Bantam 61) and Abe Fischer (Novice 77) finished in sixth.  Clete Wellnitz (Bantam 61) and Denim Fahleen (Novice 82) were eighth-place winners.

These grapplers will take part in the SDWCA Region 4 Tournament at the Swiftel Center in Brookings on Sunday, March 14. The top three place winners in each age division and eight classes (the top four in the novice age group) will qualify for the 2021 SDWCA State Tournament held in Rapid City on March 26-28.
