The Milbank Lady Bulldogs completed their 2020-2021 basketball season by presenting season-end awards. Senior Madi Thue and student managers Jessica Van Peursem and Allison Leddy, were named to the SDHSAA Academic All-State team for their achievements in the classroom. To earn the award, the athlete must be in the sport for three years and maintain a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

Players voted for their teammates to choose the recipients of several awards. Sophomore Maurina Street won the Most Valuable Player Award. She also earned the Plus/Minus Award, and was named to the Northeast Conference All-Conference Team.  Junior Tatum Berry was named the most improved player.  Sophomore Averie Engebretson was named the most improved player on the junior varsity team. Senior Lindsey Mertens received the Spirit of the Bulldog Award, and eighth grader Isabella Anderson won the “D” Up Award for her defensive efforts.

Players who earned a Major M this season include:  Lindsey Mertens, Isabella Anderson, Tatum Berry, Madi Thue, Maurina Street, Tyra Berry, Ellie Neugebauer, Claire Snaza, and managers Jessica Van Peursem and Allison Leddy.

Players who earned a Minor M this season include:   Emily Wollschlager, Camryn Wiese, Jenna Dexter, Elsie Seffrood, Madi Loeschke, Nadia Thue, Hope Karels, Averie Engebretson, Shaylee Schuchard, Bella Van Lith,
Cailey Sime, Ivy Lewno, Jaclyn Wiik, Rylie Scoular, Siera Wenzel, Ella Sandvig, and Josie Riveland.
