Right to Life Director Speaking at Milbank Event

State Director of Right to Life, Dale Bartscher, will speak at the Right to Life chapter meeting at the Living Word Church on Thursday, April 8 at 2:00 pm. All are welcome to come and hear what Right to Life will be doing locally. 

Bartscher will give a detailed report on the pro-life legislation passed during the 2021 Legislative Session. He will also speak about pro-life developments at both the state and national levels. Bartscher is known and respected throughout South Dakota as a tireless and visionary leader. He is a native of Mitchell, and his spouse is the former Janet Gill of Milbank.  

Bartscher graduated from Dakota Bible College and Cincinnati Christian Seminary and served many years as a pastor in Minnesota and South Dakota.  Beginning in 2007, he served three years as the West River director for the South Dakota Family Policy Council.  In 2010, he was named founding executive director of the Family Heritage Alliance, which grew into one of the state’s most effective Christian public policy organizations. After working with Bartscher, former South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley commented, “I witnessed first-hand his honesty, dedication, and ability to address complex challenges. “Working with Dale,” he went on to say, “has always inspired me to work harder and to be a better person.” 

In 2019, Bartscher began his work as the executive director of South Dakota Right to Life. This year, South Dakota Right To Life commemorates 53 years of protecting human life from conception to natural death. Dale and Jan live in Rapid City and have two daughters, a son-in-law, and two amazing grandchildren.
