The Milbank High School boys basketball team hosted an alumni basketball tournament on Saturday, April 3, in the Milbank Elementary gym. According Logan Diede, head coach for the Bulldogs, the tournament netted $1,171, which will go directly to the boys’ basketball program.
Team Ash was crowned the champion with a narrow margin of victory at 58-56. Team members Included:

Other MHS alumni playing in the tournament included: Team 1- Lance Frogner, Mike Paulson, Jason Bear, Craig Barlund, Nolan Foss, Jake Fox, Kevin Hagen, and Jordan Riley; Team 2 – Caleb Peters, Jalen Snaza, Cory Lesnar, Adam Jones, Tom Schuneman, Preston Morton, James Weber, and Chandler Peery; Team 3 – Nate Bien, Isaac Lindquist, Matt Lenards, Dylan Fox, Isaac Snaza, Kyle Montag, Evan Erickson, and Noah Pillatzki.
Officials were Jared Engebretson, Adam Cummins, and Ryan Scoular.
The tournament was the second annual; the first tournament was held in 2019, but the event was canceled last year due to COVID restrictions.
