The Lady Bulldogs kicked off their season at the Redfield Invitational on Thursday, April 29. “After some not so pleasant weather, we have been able to get a little golf in,” said Milbank’s head coach, Mark Keeton. “I’ve been very pleased with the girls’ attitudes and efforts through this stretch.”
Redfield was the first official meet of the season. “The weather was fantastic,” added Keeton. “Out of the six girls that attended, five of them walked and played their own ball for the full 18 holes for the first time. When you take that into perspective, they are doing great. There are some things we are working on with swings and around the greens, but they have already come a long way.”

Junior Marion Mischel was the lone player competing for the Milbank varsity squad. She finished with a 117 (59-58). Junior varsity players were: Shaylee Schuchard, 127 (63-64); Ella Kasuske, 141 (72-69); Lydia Street, 163 (83-80); Camila Monroy, 130 (73-57); and Sophia Homrighausen, 158 (83-75) for a team total of 556.
