John Forman, administrator for the City of Milbank, announced the City is placing water restrictions on residents and businesses effective Wednesday, June 9. Forman says the restrictions are being imposed due to the extremely hot and dry conditions and they will remain in place until further notice.
According to the plan, even-numbered addresses are allowed to water on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Odd-numbered addresses are allowed to water on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. No watering outside is allowed on Mondays. Watering gardens by hand is allowed at any time. The City also asks homeowners and businesses to avoid watering between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.
