During the weekend of June 18-20, the Milbank Firechiefs played four games — three Eastern Dakota League games and one non-league game. Milbank was victorious in two. They defeated Lake Norden 11-9 on Friday night, fell to Rosen 9-2 on Saturday afternoon, and split games with the Clark on Sunday. 

In Friday’s game against the Lake Norden Lakers, Milbank’s offense was led by Dom Boerger. D. Boerger had two hits and four RBIs. He also came through for the Firechiefs with a grand slam in the third inning. Taylor Boerger earned the win on the mound. T. Boerger pitched six innings and allowed nine runs. He struck out 15 batters. 

On Saturday afternoon, the Firechiefs fell to Rosen, Minnesota, in non-league play. Milbank’s offense was led by Jacob Jackson, Jesse Krause, Mitch Quade, and Justin Larson. They accounted for all of the Firechiefs’ hits. 

On Sunday afternoon, the Firechiefs split a double header with the Clark Traders at Pribyl Park in Milbank. They defeated the Traders in game one by a score of 11-4. Ronnie Krause led the Milbank’s offense. He tallied three hits and knocked in one run. Lance Frogner earned the win on the mound after going the distance. He struck out 12 batters. 

In game two, Milbank fell by a score of 6-5. Clark drew a walk-off walk to win the game in the bottom of the seventh. Milbank’s offense was led by Jacob Jackson. Jackson had two hits and one RBI. Brady Krause added one hit and three RBIs.
