The Milbank Junior Teeners took second place in Brandon Valley during a Father’s Day weekend 14U baseball tournament on June 18-20. They fell to Brandon Valley in the first round of the double elimination tournament 19-1. With their backs against the wall, Milbank defeated Apple Valley, Minnesota, 19-5 and Sioux City, Iowa, 8-3 to punch their ticket to the championship. Milbank again lost to Brandon Valley 14-0 in the championship game to bring home second place.
 

In Game 1, Brandon Valley jumped out to an early lead of nine in the top of the first inning. Milbank’s Jackson Hausauer scored on a groundball to the shortstop, but that would be all Milbank would put across in Game 1. 

In Game 2, the Teeners played in a win-or-go-home situation against Apple Valley, Minnesota. They won by a score of 19-5 by tallying 20 hits. 
Joe Schulte led the way at the plate and on the mound. He recorded four hits and drove in two runs. He also pitched three innings, allowed only one hit, and struck out five batters. Hausauer and Reese Rabe also had three hits to add to Milbank’s total. 

In Game 3, the Milbank Teeners played for the chance to go to the championship. This time, they faced a tough Sioux City Futures team. Milbank was victorious after great performances on the mound from Schulte and Josh Pederson. Schulte earned his second win of the weekend on the mound. He pitched four innings and only allowed three runs. Milbank’s offense was led by Gage Anderson and Hausauer. Both had two hits apiece. 

In the championship game, Milbank fell to Brandon Valley by a score of 14-0. Jayce Jonason took the loss on the mound after pitching two innings. Milbank’s offense was led by Pederson who had the locals lone hit.
