Jada Leigh Wellnitz was the top swimmer for the Milbank Sea Lions at the Long Course State B Championship Meet in Huron last weekend. It was the last chance for swimmers to earn a qualifying time for the State championship meet coming up. Wellnitz dropped time in all of her events and added the 100-meter backstroke to her list of State events.
TyLynn Wellnitz added the 50 and 100-meter breaststroke to her State events and captured first-place finishes in both events. Hunter Reede also swam a full schedule of events despite not having competed in a big pool since 2017. Keep up with the Valley Express to see results from the Championship Meet.
