Cheryl Linngren

Cheryl (Christensen) Linngren, age 65, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Monday, August 30, 2021, at her home.

A private memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021.

Cheryl Ann Christensen was born on August 21, 1956, in Watertown, SD, to Gerald and Arlis (Cardwell) Christensen. She was baptized and confirmed at Bethel Lutheran Church in Marvin, SD. Cheryl attended Wilmot High School.

On January 8, 1979, Cheryl was united in marriage with Phillip Linngren in Wilmot, SD. Always a hard worker, Cheryl worked in various restaurants as a cook.

Cheryl enjoyed crosswords, word searches, and putting together puzzles. She had a soft spot for animals of all types, including cats, dogs, and rabbits. Cheryl enjoyed her house plants, listening to music, and good cup of coffee. She loved the outdoors and sitting on her patio and visiting with her friends and family. Living in her apartment building, she made many friends the past few years.

She is survived by her daughter, Brittany (Jeremy) Hoff of Eureka, SD; two grandchildren: Jerimany and Harlow Hoff; parents: Gerald and Arlis Christensen of Wilmot, SD; sister, Carolyn Douglas; sister-in-law, Pam Christensen; nieces: Courtney, Katie, and Jamie; nephews: Eric, Travis, and Dustin; uncles: Dale (Diane) Christensen; aunts: Marlene (Terry) Johannsen; Bev (Chuck) Pedersen, and Millie Summers; and uncle and aunts-in-law: Bob Green, Ardell Christensen, and Kim Christensen.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Elmer (Hazel) Christensen; maternal grandparents, Cecil (Eva) Cardwell; her son and daughter-in-law, Ray “Butch” (Kim) Christensen; granddaughter, Hazel Hoff; brother, Steven Christensen; brother-in-law, Larry Douglas; along with several aunts and uncles.
