Milbank Volleyball Teams Defeat Ortonville

The varsity squad of the Lady Bulldogs’ volleyball team defeated the Lady Trojans on Tuesday, September 7, in Milbank. 

Milbank won the first two sets, but Ortonville fought back to win the next two and send the match into the fifth set. In the last set, the Lady Bulldogs emerged victorious at 15-7 to take the set and the match at 3-2.  The other set scores included: 25-17, 25-14, 21-25, and 24-26.

Addisyn Krause led the team in serving. She went 19 of 19 with four aces. Averie Engebretson followed with 14 of 17 with six aces. Rachel Schulte was 15 of 17 with four aces.

R. Schulte led the team in kills. She recorded 16. Cassidee Seezs had 10, Skyler Skoog had seven, and Claire Snaza had six. Hallie Schulte made 20 digs, R.Schulte 16, and Engebretson had 11.
R. Schulte led the defense along with Claire Snaza. They each made four blocks.
Junior Varsity Match Milbank defeated Ortonville 2-0. Set scores were 26-24 and 25-10.
C Team Match Milbank defeated Ortonville 2-0. Set scores were 25-7 and 25-18.
