The Lady Bulldogs volleyball team defeated Clark-Willow Lake 3-0 on Thursday, September 9. Set scores were 25-16, 25-21, and 25-20. 

Coach Hoeke said, “I was please with our serving percentage and our number of aces. I like to see us at 90 percent or better, and we were well above that.”

“In the second set, we were behind a few times — It was most concerning at 17-20 — but the girls handled it and outscored Clark eight to three to win it.” Hoeke added.

The Lady Bulldogs made 70 of 73 serving, including seven aces for 96 percent. 
H. Schulte was 15-15, including three aces; Addisyn Krause was also 15-15 and had one ace. Casside Seezs was 13-14, including one ace; and Rachel Schulte was 8-10, with one ace. Averie Engebretson went 11-11, with an ace; Skyler Skoog 6-6; and Shaylee Schuchard 2-2.

Skoog and R. Schulte led the team in kills. They each had eight. Engebretson followed with six. Seezs had two and Schuchard, Krause, and Claire Snaza each had one.
The Lady Bulldogs’ varsity volleyball team goes on the road tonight, September 14, to take on Waubay-Summit.
