The MHS varsity volleyball team took a loss to the Lady Pheasants of Redfield on Thursday, September 30.  Set scores of 25-23, 16-25, 25-22, 23-25, and 11-15 show the Lady Bulldogs were in the hunt the entire match.
Coach Nancy Hoeke said, “The momentum swings were so evident in this match. Both teams had three to four point runs that put pressure on the other. How the team responded seemed to determine the outcome of each set.”

Hoeke said one set, in particular, was disappointing. “We needed two points to win the match and couldn’t get it. That made it hard to move on. You feel like you have it wrapped up and then the opposite happens. But we’ll look toward the positives and do it differently next time.”
