Girls Tennis Team Wins Sportsmanship Award at State Tourney

The Lady Bulldogs were selected for the 2021-2022 Sportsmanship Award at South Dakota’s state tennis tournament in Sioux Falls on October 4-5. 
Abby Trapp, head coach for the MHS, says, “The girls played hard and it was a great tournament. This year, our team was selected as the 2021-2022 Team Sportsmanship Award recipient. This is one of the highest achievements at the state tournament level as it shows character, kindness, and respect for other players on and off the courts.” 

In addition, the following players placed individually: 
Flight 1 – singles – Hattie Muellenbach took fourth place. 
Flight 3 – singles – Hope Karels was named the Consolation Champ runner-up. 
Flight 2 – doubles – Hope Karels/ Marion Mischel were Consolation Champions.
