JV Volleyball Team Suffers Loss to Deubrook

The Lady Bulldogs junior varsity volleyball team suffered a loss to Deubrook on Tuesday, October 5, in Milbank. Set scores were 25-17, 22-25, and 10-15.
Coach Kelli Pillatzki, says, “The girls played aggressively in the first set, but struggled in the match with passing.”
Laney Forrette led the team in serving at 4-4, with two aces. Camryn Wiese was 7-8, with one ace, and Hailey Zinter followed at 2-4, also with one ace.
Abby Pillatzki led in setting at 24 of 24 with five assists. Wiese was 23 of 23 with three assists.
Forrette led the team in kills. She was 11 of 13 hitting, with four kills. Skyler Skoog was 9 of 10 with three kills, and A. Pillatzki was 9 of 10 with three kills.
Jenna Dexter contributed 13 digs. Skoog and Shaylee Schuchard each had four.
Coach Pillatzki says they plan to work on different attacks and anticipating what the other team will do.
The Lady Bulldogs go on the road tonight, October 7, to take on Britton-Hecla.
