DeBoer and Fischer Play in State Golf Tournament

Bulldogs Jonathan DeBoer and Owen Fischer competed in the 2021 South Dakota Class A Boys Golf Tournament. The tournament was held October 5-6 in Madison.  

DeBoer ended in a two-way tie for 35th place and Fischer in a three-way tie for 70th place.  Head golf coach for Milbank, Mark Keeton, said, “As a coach, I am very proud of these two boys and the team this year.”

Keeton went on to say,  “Madison Country Club is one course very similar to Milbank’s Whetsone Creek Golf Course.  It’s a target course that will test your accuracy on every shot.  The boys did a great job grinding it out through the ups and downs.”

Tea Area won the tournament as a team. West Central took second place, and Vermillion and Aberdeen Roncalli received third and fourth place, respectively.
“We improved a great deal during the season,” Keeton added, “and it’s a good feeling to know we have everyone back next year.”
