The Lady Bulldogs varsity volleyball team defeated the Britton Braves 3-0 on Thursday, October 7. Set scores were 25-22, 25-14, and 25-15.
Milbank’s head coach, Nancy Hoeke, said “We played a good match and got the job done against Britton. Our serving was agressive, and we got 12 aces.” The team made 65 of 73 for a final serving percentage of 89.
Individually, stats included:
Jenna Dexter — 2-2 with one ace
Emily Wollschlager — 2-2
Addisyn Krause — 16-17 with three aces
Rachel Schulte — 15-16 with four aces
Casside Seezs — 7-8
Hallie Schulte — 11-13 with four aces
Averie Engebretson — 8-10
Skyler Skoog –3-4
R. Schulte led the team in kills. On the attack, she was was 22-27 with 10 kills. Seezs was 13-15 with eight kills. Rylie Overby 10-13 with five kills, Engebretson 13-15 with three kills, and Skoog 15-18 with two kills.
Krause was the leader of the pack in assists. She was 51-51 with 15 assists. Camryn Wiese was 12-12 with six assists, and Engebretson 15-15 with four assists.
R. Schulte contributed the most digs for the Lady Bulldogs. She had eight. H. Schulte and Skoog added seven apiece. Engebretson and Emily Wollschlager had six each, and Krause added five.
R. Schulte and Seezs also each recorded one assisted block.
The Lady Bulldogs varsity volleyball team heads to Madison tomorrow in a Battle of the Bulldogs. Match starts at 5 p.m.
