Savanna Osowski, a Milbank Area Lions Swim Team (MALST) swimmer and senior at MHS, won first place in the 100-meter breaststroke at the Watertown Candy Cane Meet. The meet was held from December 10-12 and featured swimmers from across South Dakota, Minnesota, North Dakota, and Iowa. Osowski also placed second in the 100-meter Individual Medley (IM) and pocketed four other top-five finishes.

MALST Coach Jodi Street said, “I am really proud of Savanna for her determination to swim and the work she has put in to make her senior year happen. Not being able to train at our home facility has been challenging, but she didn’t let that stop her. With her hard work, she was able to kick off her winter season at a great starting point.”
