The Bulldogs went on the road to face the Hamlin Chargers in hoops on January 13. Milbank took the loss at 36-72. The Dawgs now sit at 3-3 overall and 1-1 in the NEC.

Bennett Schwenn was the leading scorer for Milbank. He dropped in nine points, and was followed by Wylie Mursu with eight. Garrett Mertens made seven. Aidan Luvigson added five. Justus Osborne, Jaxon Wildung, and Tanner Hallquist each contributed two. Max Lightfield put in a free throw for one.

For Hamlin, Tyson Stevenson scored 20 points and Easton Neuendorf posted 14. As a team, the Chargers shot 52 percent from the floor. The Bulldogs hit 26 percent. Hamlin recorded just over 81 percent from the free throw line and Milbank 56 percent.

The top rebounder for the Bulldogs was W. Mursu with 10. Mertens added his support with four and Stevie Ash pulled down three. Schwenn, Kellen Hoeke, Wildung, Joe Schulte, Lightfield, Ludvigson, and Tice Mursu chipped in one apiece.

Next up for the Bulldogs? Milbank goes back on the road tonight, January 18. They travel to Summit to take on the Waubay-Summit Mustangs.
