Osowski Wins 5th Place at Sioux Falls Invitational

Savanna Osowski competed in the January Invitational hosted by the Sioux Falls Swim Team during the weekend of January 21-23 in Sioux Falls. The meet brought together swimmers from across South Dakota, Minnesota, and Iowa.

Osowski, a senior at MHS, dropped two seconds from her time in the 100-meter breaststroke to take fifth place at 1:10:51. She recorded a personal best time of 25:32 in the 50-meter freestyle to capture sixth place. She also earned seventh place in the1000-meter freestyle, ninth in the 200-meter individual medley, ninth in the 200-meter breaststroke, and twelfth place in the 200-meter freestyle.

MALST assistant swim coach Emily Bjordahl said, “Savanna is a very hard worker and showed it this past weekend. She made it to the finals and shaved time from multiple events. It was a fun meet, and we are excited to see how the rest of her senior swim season goes.”
