Don’t Miss This Week’s Events at the Grant County Library

Gardening Event – Tuesday, February 8 Did you miss the seed library planting session in January?  The Grant County Public Library invites you to a seed library and herb planting session on Tuesday February 8, at 5:30 pm. Plant your indoor herb garden seeds and learn more about the seed library.   

Author to Speak – Thursday, February 10 The Friends of Grant County Public Library will host a Zoom event with Cindy Wilson, author of The Beautiful Snow, on Thursday, February 10, at 7 p.m. at the library. The event is sponsored by the South Dakota Historical Society Foundation.
According to Wilson, “The Long Winter is one of the most memorable novels in Laura Ingalls Wilder’s Little House Series. It beautifully details the dramatic events of the hard winter of 1880-81, a harrowing time with months of never-ending blizzards leading to railroad blockades that all but cut off fledgling communities. The Beautiful Snow is a new look at actual events of that hard winter.” The Grant County Public Library has copies of The Beautiful Snow, a non-fiction book, available for checkout.
