Street Scores 22 Points and Posts a Double-Double Against Sisseton

Milbank’s Maurina Street had an impressive game on the road at Sisseton on February 8. She racked up a double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds. She had two assists and a steal and also downed four of her six free throw attempts.
Although Street was firing on all cylinders, sometimes, somebody else just has a better night. The Redmen’s 6-foot center freshman, Krista Langager, was hard to beat. She pounded in 33 points and pulled down 23 rebounds.
The Lady Bulldogs ended up with the loss at 54-65, but they didn’t go down without a fight.Tyra Berry put in another 13 points, grabbed five rebounds, and pulled off a steal. Isabella Anderson scored 11 points and had two assists and a steal. Claire Snaza made three points and three rebounds, along with a steal. Josie Riveland and Avery Engebretson each scored two points and two rebounds. Sierra Wenzl dunked a free throw.
The Lady Bulldogs hit 30 percent of their field goals, including those from behind the arc. They knocked down nine of 16 free throws for 62.5 percent.
Sisseton’s Hannah Leverson added 14 points to the Redmen’s total and she was credited with four steals. Emalee Nelson and Veronica Rice each contributed six points. Sisseton shot 36 percent from the floor and 64 percent from the free throw line.
