Three care centers in Milbank hosted Valentine’s Day celebrations on Monday, February 14. Decorations, sweets, and games were featured at the festivities. Each center also chose royalty to preside over the day’s events.
Vera Ehlebracht and Gerald Sonday were selected to reign as king and queen of Wellshire Park Place. All Park Place residents were also invited to join the fun with a special dessert and an afternoon of bingo.
Bud and Dorothy Vagsness were crowned King and Queen at St. Williams Care Center. Residents of St. Williams enjoyed Valentine bingo before the coronation and followed it with holiday treats. (The King and Queen are pictured with Rene Thrift and Sister Rosemary Bell.)
King Bob Meinke formerly of Craig, Colorado, and Queen Delores Weber of Corona reigned on Heart Day at Avantara-Milbank. Their festive Valentine’s Day party was created by Tammie DeWald, activities director at Avantara, and Diane VanLith.
