Jessica Frevert, age 51, of Big Stone City, SD, died on Wednesday, March 16, at Ortonville Area Health Services..

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Tabor United Methodist Church in Big Stone City. Rev. Barbara McKewin will officiate and burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 21, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the church. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, one hour prior to the service.

Jessica Marie (Schreifels) Frevert was born on August 22, 1970, in Paynesville, MN. She was the daughter of Ronnie Weeres and Marge Schreifels. Jessica grew up in Beardsley, MN, and graduated from Watertown High School. She worked for Midcom Inc. in Watertown. In 1993 she married Tim Larson and had two children, Amanda and Tyler She owned and operated a licensed day care for ten years in Watertown. Jessica moved to Big Stone City in 2009. She later worked as a CNA at Avantara. She was united in marriage with Brian Frevert on June 18, 2016, at Tabor United Methodist Church in Big Stone City.

Jessica enjoyed her flower gardens, especially Gerber Daisies. She loved DIY projects. She made and sold jewelry with her mother at craft shows for ten years. Jessica was a distributor of Young Living Essential Oils. Jessica had a huge personality and was often recognized by her laugh and her bright colors. She collected snowmen, angels and crystals. She was an extremely fierce ping-pong competitor when she played against Tyler. She also loved attending the Lemonade Art Fair in St. Cloud, MN.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Brian Frevert of Big Stone City, SD; three children: Amanda Larson of Watertown, SD; Tyler Larson of Ortonville, MN; and Darshell (Matt) Frevert-McGinley of Quincy, IL; her parents: Ronnie (Sandy) Weeres of Eden Valley, MN; and Marge Schreifels of St. Cloud, MN; her mother-in-law, Norma Frevert of Big Stone City, SD; seven siblings: Ken (Laura) Schreifels of Eden Valley, MN; Brenda Dvorak of St. Cloud, MN; Dan (Deanne) Weeres of Lake Henry, MN; step siblings, Wanda (Rick) Crouse, Sandy Johnson, Cy Schreifels and foster brother, Steve (Joy) Weber and numerous nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Cy Schreifels, Sr.; and her father-in-law, Charles Frevert.
