The Bulldogs art team was chosen South Dakota’s Best Team at the fine arts exhibition presented by the Dacotah Prairie Museum of Aberdeen.  Liz Vogel, Taryn Dusky, Marion Mischel, Kadence Rausch-Frank, Amelia Pederson, and Grace Weston brought home the school trophy for Milbank. Dusky also won second place in the Student Choice award and third place in the Drawing division. Ashley Plummer, the MHS art teacher, accompanied the students to the event.

The show, held at the Aberdeen Recreation and Cultural Center in Aberdeen, featured works by students in grades seven through 12 from 15 South Dakota schools and three schools from North Dakota. Over 100 pieces in six categories were on display.

Judges voted for the top three in each category, a Best in Show award, and Best Team award for each state. Students received feedback from the judges and also attended four workshops conducted by artists to explore different techniques.
