Didn’t make it to Mexico this winter.? You can still Mexperience the fun and flavors at the Cinco de Mayo Fiesta on May 7 from 1-5 p.m. at Lake Farley Park. Try authentic Mexican food and listen to a live mariachi band. You can even dance along, and probably will, because it’s impossible to stand still and listen to a mariachi band.

Just like in Mexico, there’ll be fun for the whole family. Los ninnos will enjoy inflatables, pinatas, and other games. Todos will enjoy food trucks filled with tacos and tamales and booths brimming with authentic arts and crafts. Relax in the beer garden and chat with your amigos.

And what fiesta is complete without a mechanical bull? Not this one!  Let someone watch your beer while you hop in the saddle. Or see a real cowboy go for a wild ride.

The fun starts at 1 p.m., but don’t be late! You might miss the opening act at 1 p.m. Special guest, Alicia Gonzales, is flying in from Cuernavaca — the capital city of Morelos and home of the 16th-Century Palace of Cortes. She will sing Mexico’s national anthem. Hailey Hupke will sing the “Star-Spangled Banner.” It’s the whole enchilada! It’s fun for the entire familia!
