The Valley Express will host a public retirement reception for Jerry Janisch, Cindy Jungers, Pam Prisinger, Mary Hagen, and Karen Vaudrey. The open house will be held at the Lantern Inn in Milbank from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, May 12.
Janisch is the agriculture education instructor and FFA adviser at MHS. Jungers is a junior kindergarten teacher at Milbank Elementary. She previously served as a kindergarten teacher at St. Lawrence School. Prisinger is a third-grade teacher at Milbank Elementary. Hagen teaches second grade at St. Lawrence School, and Karen Vaudrey has been employed by OST and as a cook in the Milbank District.
Keri Schliesman and Clarice Buhler are also retiring this year, but are unable to attend the reception. Schiesman is the elementary special education director at Milbank Elementary and Buhler is a fifth-grade teacher there.
