Ten St. Lawrence School sixth graders were honored during the 2022 graduation ceremony on Thursday, May 19. Sixth-grade teacher, Mrs. Paula Rausch, marked the 33rd year she has presented the class. The 2022 graduates include: Addison Brown, Kara Fonder, Brooke Hendricks, Keaton Johnson, Andrew Karels, Will Muellenbach, Tate Pew, Raina Untalan, Macie VanLith and Rylan Wendland.
Three families were recognized on the occasion of their last child graduating from St. Lawrence School. They included Jack Johnson and Sara Johnson, Mark and Dena VanLith, and Jake and Heidi Muellenbach families.
The sixth graders performed a vocal number to open the ceremony. During the program, the graduating students shared a host of memories they had compiled to commemorate their years at St. Lawrence.
Prior to the event, the graduates followed the St. Lawrence tradition of making cord rosaries and having them blessed by Father Gary. Each presented a rosary to their family during the ceremony.
Father Gary also offered a graduation Mass with blessings for the graduates. The event concluded with a slideshow that recapped the sixth-grade students’ years at St. Lawrence.
