Have you been frowning because your family doesn’t have insurance or the money for your child to see a dentist? Or maybe you lack the transportation to travel to a dentist. Delta Dental can put a smile back on your face! And, they’ll put a smile on your child’s face, too.
The Delta Dental truck will be in Milbank from August 8-11. A full range of dental care is available, including exams, cleanings, preventive treatments, and cavity fillings. Oral health education is also given to patients so they can continue to care for their teeth.
Services are provided at no cost to the child or family. No insurance is necessary. The mobile dental truck’s visit is a partnership between Grant County Community Health, The Milbank Community Foundation, and Delta Dental of South Dakota.
Children from the time they get their first tooth through age 21 who can’t afford or are unable to access a dentist are eligible. (The child must have not seen an area dentist in two years due to lack of funds or he must live more than 85 miles from the nearest dentist and lack transportation.)
Advance registration is required. A patient consent and an information form must also be completed. Questions? Ready to make an appointment? Call 605.432.4596 to talk with Jennifer or Jessica.
The Delta Dental Mobile Program has been offering oral health services since 2004. The two dental trucks have visited 86 communities across South Dakota and have provided more than $28 million in dental care.
