Four Milbank swimmers competed in the 2022 South Dakota Long Course State B Championship meet held July 15-17 in Yankton.  All four had outstanding performances. 
TyLynn Wellnitz, Adrienne Korth, and Ryan Steffen each earned a first-place finish and Jada Leigh Wellnitz took home a second-place finish.

TyLynn Wellnitz, female 9-10, won first place in the 50-meter freestyle, the 50-meter backstroke, and the 200-meter individual medley (IM). She also took fourth place in the 100-meter breaststroke and fifth place in the 50-meter butterfly. 

Adrienne Korth, female 11-12, received first place in the 200-meter freestyle relay, third place in the 50-meter freestyle and 50-meter butterfly; sixth place in the 50-meter backstroke and 200-meter freestyle; eighth in the 100-meter freestyle; ninth in the 200-meter IM; and 10th place in the 100-meter backstroke. 

Ryan Steffen, male 9-10, received first place in the 100-meter freestyle; second in the 100-meter breaststroke; third in the 50-meter breaststroke; and fourth place wins in the 50-meter butterfly, 200 IM, and 100-meter backstroke. 

Jada Leigh Wellnitz, female 11-12, received second place in the 200-meter freestyle relay; third in the the100-meter backstroke; fourth in the 50-meter backstroke; seventh in the 100-meter freestyle and 200-meter freestyle; ninth in the 50-meter freestyle; 10th in the 200-meter IM; and 12th place in the 50-meter butterfly. 

Milbank’s 12 & Under Meet Results

Milbank played host to Watertown, Webster, Chamberlain, and Miller for a 12 & Under meet on July 12. Bailee Hendricks was selected as Swimmer of the Meet by her coaches Sara Johnson and William Karels. Bailee placed first in all five of the events she entered. She received first in the 50-meter breaststroke, 50-meter backstroke, 50-meter freestyle, 100-meter backstroke, and 100-meter freestyle.

Crosby Bass, male 7-8, received second in the 50-meter backstroke; third in the 25-meter freestyle; and fifth in the 50-meter and 100-meter freestyle. 

Sophia Bass, female 9-10, received third in the 50-meter backstroke; fifth in the 200-meter freestyle; eighth in the 50-meter breaststroke; ninth in the 100-meter freestyle; and 11th in the 50-meter freestyle. 

Thomas Bass, male 11-12, received first in the 50-meter breaststroke; second in the 50-meter backstroke, 50-meter freestyle, 100-meter backstroke, and 100-meter freestyle.

Willow Bender, female 11-12, received ninth in the 50-meter breaststroke; 13th in the 50-meter freestyle, 100-meter backstroke; 14th in the 50-meter backstroke; and 18th in the 100-meter freestyle. 

Arabella Bjerke, female 9-10, received 12th in the 100-meter backstroke; 16th in the 50-meter backstroke; and 24th in the 50-meter freestyle. 

Bryton Blauert, male 11-12, received fourth in the 50-meter backstroke and 50-meter freestyle; fifth in the 200-meter freestyle; and seventh in the 100-meter backstroke. 

Logan Dexter, male 11-12, received second in the 200-meter freestyle; third in the 50-meter backstroke, 50-meter freestyle, 100-meter backstroke, and 100-meter freestyle. 

Blaze Fahleen, male 9-10, received eighth in the  50-meter backstroke and 50-meter freestyle; and 10th in the 100-meter freestyle. 

Pierce Gapp, male 9-10, received fourth in the 100-meter backstroke; seventh in the 50-meter freestyle; and ninth in the 100-meter freestyle and 50-meter backstroke. 

Elise Graham, female 9-10, received 12th in the 50-meter backstroke; 18th in the 100-meter freestyle; and 19th in the 50-meter freestyle. 

Aubrey Haugen, female 7-8, received second in the 25-meter backstroke; fifth in the 25-meter freestyle; and eighth in the 50-meter freestyle and 50-meter backstroke. 

Bailee Hendricks, female 9-10, received first in the 50-meter breaststroke, 50-meter backstroke, 50-meter freestyle, 100-meter backstroke, and 100-meter freestyle. 

Brooke Hendricks, female 11-12, received sixth in the 50-meter freestyle and 50-meter breaststroke; seventh in the 100-meter backstroke; ninth in the 50-meter backstroke; and 12th in the 100-meter freestyle. 

Jackson Hendricks, male 5-6, received first in the 25 meter freestyle and 25-meter backstroke; and third in the 50-meter freestyle. 

Zoee Henrich, female 9-10, received second in the 50-meter breaststroke and 100-meter backstroke; fourth in the 50-meter backstroke; 10th in the 50-meter freestyle; and 11th in the 100-meter freestyle. 

Avigail Howard, female 11-12, received 11th in the 50-meter freestyle and 100-meter backstroke; 13th in the 50-meter backstroke; and 15th in the 100-meter freestyle and 50-meter butterfly. 

Adrienne Korth, female 11-12, received fourth in the 50-meter butterfly and  50-meter freestyle; fifth in the 100-meter backstroke; sixth in the 50-meter backstroke; and ninth in the 100-meter freestyle. 

Charlie Laskowske, female 9-10, received 20th in the 50-meter backstroke; 21st in the 100-meter freestyle; and 22nd in the 50-meter freestyle. 

Hannah Pauli, female 9-10, received eighth in the 100-meter backstroke and 100-meter freestyle; ninth in the 50-meter freestyle; and 11th in the 50-meter breaststroke and 50-meter backstroke. 

Isabella Pauli, female 11-12, received second in the 100-meter backstroke; third in the 200-meter freestyle and 50-meter freestyle; fourth in the 100-meter freestyle; and seventh in the 50-meter butterfly. 

Mason Pauli, male 7-8, received first in the 100-meter backstroke; and third in the  50-meter backstroke, 50-meter freestyle, and 100-meter freestyle.
