Valley Office Products Hosts Customer Appreciation Day

Valley Office Products in downtown Milbank had a lot to celebrate on Thursday, July 21. Their Customer Appreciation Day was a celebration of all the valued customers they have had the privilege to work with in 42 years in business. 

Customers and staff enjoyed brisket and beans and a chance to reminisce about the summer of 1980 — the year Larry and Loretta Cantine officially became the owners of the company. Today their son, Kevin, runs the business, but you will often still find Loretta behind the counter.
The event also celebrated Valley Office Product’s new look. New products inside and a  new storefront outside. The handsome exterior remodel was completed last October and is a distinguished addition to the lineup on Main Street.

Customers were also given the opportunity to register for door prizes. Although the mood was festive, Loretta said, “It’s an emotional day, too.” Wednesday will mark the one-year anniversary of the passing of Larry. Everyone who knew Larry knows he never considered retirement, so, though he didn’t attend physically, he was certainly there in spirit.
