Brenda Anderson, principal at St. Lawrence School, reminds parents that registration for first through sixth graders and new students is scheduled for Wednesday, August 3, from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. Students are not required to attend registration as school pictures will be taken by Tailfeather Photography on Thursday, August 25, during school hours. Parents of preschool and kindergarten students that are already registered do not need to attend unless they have an older sibling.
Parents of kindergarten and sixth-grade students should bring their updated immunization records. All preschool students are required to have a birth certificate and immunization record before the start of school. Please drop them at the school office if they have not already been turned in.

According to Anderson, St. Lawrence shirts, khaki pants, skirts, and shorts are available inside the school entrance. If your child has outgrown their clothing and you would like to donate it, please bring them to the school office or add them to the appropriate stack. School supplies are also available. Make sure to grab a bottle of glue as we had many bottles donated and would love to see them find a home. Stop by any time to look through these items.
St. Lawrence School will dismiss school on Wednesday, August 17, at 1:50 p.m. for grades K-6. Afternoon preschool students plan to stay until 3 p.m. unless transportation is an issue for your child. Look for an email from Mrs. Brehmer regarding this.
Four-year-old preschoolers that will not be in school on picture day — Thursday, August 25 — may come to the school that morning to have their pictures taken or have it taken on the make-up day that is yet to be determined. Any students that are absent that day will also have their picture taken on the make-up day.
New parents will be receiving a Remind notification. Please make sure to join. This is how I will send out important information, such as snow days, late starts, and special reminders. You will receive these notifications as a text message.
Last, but not least, Principal Anderson says, “We are excited to add a new staff member and a returning staff member to our St. Lawrence School family. We are happy to announce that Dolly Lenards will be teaching third grade and Elizabeth Schulte will be returning to teach music. Please welcome them when you see them”
Principal Anderson added, “We are looking forward to seeing you on Wednesday, August 3. Enjoy these last days of summer.”
