Eric Townsend, head coach for the Bulldogs and the Lady Bulldogs, announced the start of Milbank’s 2022 cross country season next week. All athletes in grade 7-12 will meet for a parent-athlete meeting on Tuesday, August 9, at 7 p.m. in the MHS theatre. All forms need to be turned in at the meeting.
Cross Country Schedule:
Monday, August 8 – Athlete meeting about fundraising – time and place TBA.
Tuesday, August 9 – Parent-athlete meeting – 7 p.m. in the MHS theatre.
Thursday, August 11 – First practice at 8 a.m. at the high school and a flashlight relay at 9 p.m. at the track. Also, if necessary, seventh, ninth, and eleventh grade ImPact testing at the high school at 10 a.m.
Friday, August 12 – Practice at 8 a.m. at the high school.Monday, August 15 – Practice at 8 a.m. at the high school and again at 7 p.m. at the high school.
Tuesday, August 16 – Practice at 8 a.m. at the high school.
Wednesday August 17 – First day of school. Normal practice time at 3:30 p.m.
Saturday-Sunday, Aug 20-21 — Camp Fun at Camp NeSoDak—Leave at 9 a.m. on Saturday and return at 11 a.m. on Sunday.
- All physicals need to be completed prior to August 11. Every athlete needs a physical to be allowed to practice.
- Every athlete in grades 7, 9, 11, and anyone who did not take the test last year, will need to take the ImPACT (concussion) test. The test for cross country athletes is scheduled for 10 a.m. on August 11.
- All other school forms (emergency medical, consent, BST, etc.) need to be turned in at the parent/athlete meeting on August 9.
