Eric Townsend, head coach for Milbank, said, “This was a really good first meet for both teams.  Several runners put in many miles this summer and many runners ran well for the first meet of the season. It was nice to run against some familiar NEC and region schools.” Coach Townsend singled out Brown and Speidel. “Payton, a junior, is strides ahead of where he was last season and appears poised to have a very strong season. He is one of the  leaders on this year’s team and will be looked upon to help continue to lead.”

Townsend added, “Kynlee, who is also a junior, ran very well. She placed fourth overall and was the second Milbank finisher.  Kynlee has come into this season in pretty good shape and seems to be in position to have a great season. She has been and continues to be one of the top runners on the varsity team. She will be expected to continue to be a team leader this season.”
