Katie Minder was chosen as Summit High School’s 2022 Homecoming Queen. Jonathan Johnston was selected to reign alongside her as this year’s Homecoming King. Their royal court includes Cierra Fonder, Katie Karst, Brady Lindholm, and Damon Opdahl.

Coronation was held Monday evening, September 12, at Summit School. During the festivities, Abby Zirbel was chosen as Little Miss Summit and Lyncoln Grebner was selected to be Little Mr. Summit.
The tradition of the burning of the “S” followed Coronation at Summit City Park.

Homecoming activities continue on Thursday, September 15. The Battle of the Classes starts at 9 a.m. Powderpuff football begins at 1 p.m., and Iron Man volleyball follows at 1:45 p.m. Then, it’s a volleyball skirmish that pits Staff against Students at 2:30 p.m.

On Friday, September 16, the 2022 Homecoming parade starts at 1 p.m.  At 7 p.m., the Dakota Hills Grizzlies football squad from Summit-Waubay-Wilmot take on the Webster Bearcats in Waubay.
