The 61st Annual Grant County Combined Appeal Business Blitz is Wednesday, September 28. The People Helping People Drive plans to fund 17 organizations in Grant County.  Every donated dollar stays right here in Grant County. This year, the group hopes to reach a goal of $190,400. But, they need your help. It’s up to you to make it happen. Volunteers will be stopping by your business from 1-3 p.m. Encourage your employees to consider making a donation, too.

You can even earmark your gift for the groups you most want to assist, make monthly installments, or stipulate an amount for a payroll deduction. There are so many ways to help and so many people who need your help.

Your donation helps support: 60s Plus Dining Program Ball Diamond Association, Big Stone City School OST Program, Boy Scout Troop #45, Building Our Families, Grant County Heart and Diabetes Fund, Grant County ARC, Imagination Library- a book a month for children up to age five, Interlakes Community Action (ICAP), MHS Clay Target Team, Milbank Area Community Tennis Association (MACTA), Milbank Area Lions Swim Team (MALST), Milbank Community Transit, NEGL Red Cross, Salvation Army, Unity Health and Fitness Charitable Memberships, Unity Health and Fitness – Milbank Rec Program

Combined Appeal has come a long way since its first campaign when they raised $7551 to help five organizations in 1964. Last year, they raised $200,073.

Craig Wellnitz, a native of Milbank, is spearheading the fundraising for the 2022 campaign. Wellnitz, who serves as the finance director for the Milbank Community Foundation says, “The phrase “People Helping People” is truly alive in Grant County, and we are ever grateful for the generosity of our businesses.”
