Liam Grabow, Archer Mathiason, Owen Schneck. and Liam Prasnicki rocked out as the 70s band KISS to win first prize for the Most Original... Kids Go All Out for Treat Stop at the Fire Hall

Liam Grabow, Archer Mathiason, Owen Schneck. and Liam Prasnicki rocked out as the 70s band KISS to win first prize for the Most Original costumes at Halloween Treat Stop at the Milbank Fire Hall.

The prize for the scariest costume went to Vivian Mathiason, Morgan Dunnihoo, and Aubrey and Letty Pollock for their portrayal of the witches from the movie Hocus Pocus.

Levi Fonder, dressed as Tigger, captured a lot of attention and the prize for the cutest costume.

Winners of the annual Halloween Coloring Contest (in order of first through third place)  included:  Kindergarten – Ellie Zuke, Lane Steffensen, and Luna Lagerstrom Hernandez; First Grade –  Eastyn Mikkelson, Naomi Henderson, and Jade Skaarer; Second Grade – Vivian Mathiason, Mason Pauli, and Oliver McMahon; Third Grade – Bianca Cruz, Vayda Heisinger, and Noemi Landon; Fourth Grade –  Stella Pulling, Brytten Schmieg, and Trinity Brehmer, and Fifth Grade – Sydnee Weyh, Timbree Spors, and Leighton Rabe. 

Drawing Winners included:  Up to age Three – Ren Schell and Levi Fonder; Age Four to Seven – Kinsley Frerichs and Reed Trapp; and Age Eight to 12 – Brynlee Frerichs and William Henry. Winners of Mall of America wristbands donated by KMSD were Arabella Bjerke and Lennox Peiker.

According to Tammy Schuelke, the wives of Milbank’s team of firefighters organized the event. The ladies also helped the men serve during the annual Treat Stop event on Halloween night. Many of the snacks served were homemade. Other donations were given from Valley Queen, Ol’ Mill Meats and The Millstone.
