There’s room for everyone at Milbank’s Hometown Christmas Celebration this Saturday December 3.
4 p.m.  — Start your holiday season with the Free Christmas movie at Mill Theatres at 4 p.m. Get some shopping done while the kids enjoy watching Elf or take a break and join them. Everyone gets a free pop and a free popcorn to munch on. The Free Christmas movie is Sponsored by State Farm- Jan Scriver Agency.  

All day until 6 p.m. — Shop, Sip, and Mingle at Milbank businesses throughout the day until 6 p.m. Participating merchants will be offering deals, giveaways, and refreshments. Stop by The Flower Shoppe, This and That, The Bank at 301 Main, Linda’s Fashions, Lewis Drug, Lewis Sew Crafty, Now & Then Boutique, Whimsy on Main, Valley Queen Heritage Center & Cheese Shop, Country Closet Consignment, and more.

6 p.m. — Then bundle up and head to the Parade of Lights at 6 p.m. See all the floats and watch for Santa and Mrs. Claus to appear. You’ll also have a chance to win $200 in Ol’ Mill Bucks. The Holiday Parade of Lights is sponsored by Whetstone Valley Electric Cooperative.

After the Parade — After the parade, there are still more lights to see! Join the Hometown crowd in front of the Grant County Courthouse for the lighting of the majestic 25-foot Christmas tree. A surprise special guest will do the honors of lighting the tree. Stick around until 8 p.m. for candy canes, hot chocolate, hayrides, carolers, and Santa. Hayrides will be given by the Milbank Police Department. Sponsors of the Tree Lighting Ceremony include United Hardware, Dewey’s Lawn Care and Landscaping, Whetstone Sanitation, ACT Accurate Tax & Bookkeeping, and Whimsy on Main.
