Lady Bulldogs Clip Lady Pheasants

The Lady Bulldogs bagged their third win in a row in their game against the Lady Pheasants on January 12 in Redfield. The final score was 37-25. Maurina Street nailed down a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Tyra Berry had 13 points, including three three-point bombs. She also snagged a rebound.  

Isabella Anderson put up 11 points and pounced on a rebound. Claire Snaza took possession of five rebounds. Josie Riveland made a free throw and contributed two rebounds.

Milbank hit nine of their 36 field goal attempts to notch 30 percent from the floor, including 28 percent from beyond the arc. They knocked in 10 of 14 free throws to finish at just over 71 percent.
The Lady Pheasants made nine of their 38 field goal attempts to settle at 24 percent. They hit five of 17 from long range to earn nearly a 30 percent average. 

Milbank only offered Redfield three chances to make points from the line. Gracie Fast dropped in two of them for 66.7 percent.

Ashlyn Clausen was Redfield’s leading scorer. She recorded 14 points –12 of them came from three-point baskets. Katie Rozell made seven points and pulled down five rebounds. Clausen also added three rebounds. 

What’s next for the Lady Bulldogs? Milbank goes on the road again. They meet the Lady Quarriers of Dell Rapids on Saturday, January 14.
