Merik Junker Chosen MHS Student of the Month

Milbank High School announced senior Merik Junker, as their November Student of the Month. Merik is the son of Mark and Meredith Junker.

Merik is active in band and National Honor Society. In the past, he was selected to be a member of the South Dakota All-State Orchestra and the Northern Area Honor Band. He also participated in the meat evaluation competition in FFA.

Outside of school, Merik enjoys baseball, fishing, hunting, and weightlifting. In the summer, he coaches baseball for the Milbank Summer Rec program and mows lawns for neighbors. 

Merik has committed to playing baseball at Valley City State University in North Dakota next year. His plans also include majoring in exercise science and continuing his education to obtain a doctorate in physical therapy.
