Terris “Terry” Steven Settje, age 75, passed away peacefully at his home in Corona, SD. He went to be with the Lord on December 11, 2022.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Corona Community Center in Corona, SD.

Terry was born to Harold and Hilda (DeGroot) Settje on November 6, 1947, in Ortonville, MN. The family moved to Scotland, SD, where Terry went to high school and excelled in basketball and football. After graduation, he went on to earn his Bachelor of Science Degree at Southern State College in Springfield, SD. After college, Terry went on to teach and coach in Geddes, SD. Terry also worked as a construction worker before moving to Lead, SD, to serve 18 years as an underground miner for Homestake Mining Company. Terry also worked at the Corona Grain and Feed Co. in Corona, SD, and was a proud member of the Corona, SD, Volunteer fire Department.

Terry did what he loved the most, traveling. Visiting family and friends across the country: Nebraska, Hawaii, Florida, California, Oregon, and many more. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and having a Kool-Aid with his friends and family. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren and watching sports. He has made the best memories and will be missed by many.

Terry Settje is survived by his daughters: Andrea (Cory) Byng of Green Bay, WI; Shari Settje of Overland Park, KS; and Lauri Settje of Rawlins, WY; son, Terris “Steve” Steven (Jody) Settje of Scotland, SD; grandchildren: Andrew Koski, Hannah Duffy, Aden Duffy, Madelynn Kulmus, Aries Snell, Lucas Byng, Iiyanna Snell, Asher Settje, Luke Settje, and Rylee Settje; and brother, Harold Victor Settje (Vic) Jr.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Hilda Settje.
