MHS Wrestlers Take Down Lennox and Dell Rapids

The Bulldog wrestlers fought illness and injury, along with Lennox and Dell Rapids on the road on Thursday, February 3. Milbank defeated Lennox 40-36 and Dell Rapids 42-36. They are still at odds with Illness and injury. 

Josh Schmeichel, head coach for MHS, said, “We were battling a lot of sickness and a few injuries, so we couldn’t fill out our lineup like we should have. Despite that, we were still able to pull off a win against both teams. We wrestled Lennox first and won five of the six matches. The boys wrestled really well and we came out on top of a few close matches, which is always exciting.”

“Next, we wrestled Dell Rapids,” Schmeichel continued. “With our sickness and injuries and their sickness and injuries, we wrestled only four matches. We ended up going two and two. Overall, we were just slightly more healthy and able to fill more spots to secure the dual win.” Schmeichel also commended Landon Novy, a junior who wrestles at the 285-pound weight class, for being the only Bulldog to wrestle two matches and come home with two wins.
