South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem signed a proclamation to declare this week, February 20-24, as South Dakota School Board Recognition Week. The governor honored the effort and dedication of the more than 850 men and women who serve on nearly 150 public school boards across the state.
At the regular meeting of the Milbank School District Board of Education on Monday, February 13, Superintendent Justin Downes addressed the board members, “Thank you for all you do for the community and the school district. I appreciate working with all of you. It is a thankless position and I understand the type of sacrifices you make to be a part of it and I really appreciate it.”
